Beach Safety
~ lifeguards and lifesaving equipment must be availble on all blue flag beaches
~ first aid equipment must be available and easily accessible on a blue flag seaside beach
~ there must be safe access to the beach

If you would like to find a Blue Flag Beach in your chosen family beach vacation destination then the main site of this campaing offers different beach locations in different countries that have been accepted for the award and are allowed to display to Blue Flag Symbol | ~ there are 29 criteria that a beach has to comply with before the blue flag award is issued
~ the award only last for 1 year after which the beach has to re-apply

When traveling with kids teach them to clean up after themselves, dont eave any non biodegradable waste behind, carry a plastic bag for rubbish and take it away with you to ensure that beaches stay clean and safe for other families to enjoy
