~ Petting Zoos are a favourite destination on family vacations, especially when going to a foreign country where different species can be seen ~ whether visiting a petting zoo, an animal sanctuary or a kid farm on your family vacation a few animal safety tips will ensure a safe visit ~ follow the animal hygiene tips ~ only offer food to the animals that have been provided by the petting zoo/farm staff as unsuitable food can cause upsets in the animals ~ read notice boards carefully - some animals may bite when distressed or peck when fingers are put into the cage ~ watch out for spitting animals and teach your kids not to get too close ~ observe the rules in petting zoos and if it is a foreign language one on your family trip then see whether someone can translate the instructions for you		~ wash hands after all animal contact, pefereably with disinfectant solution ~ some countries you travel to may not observe as stringent rule so make sure you carry your own antiseptic wipes and first aid kit ~ do not eat food whilst handling animals ~ Teach children not to put anything in their mouth especially for younger babies and toddlers - no fingers, nothing that has fallen onto the farm or petting zoo ground to prevent infection with harmful bacteria

She has a comfortable cage and a foldable outdoor pen hich is suitable for our camping vacations ~ Invest in foldable pet carriers that take the minimum amount but offer safe transport ~ check that your pet food is available on your pet friendly vacation, or take your own supplies with you ~ check whehter there are any quaranteen restrictions in the country you are traveling too or whehter vacccinations are required ~ there are pet friendly airlines that will take your pet too, but it does require carefyl research well before you intent to travel with your kids and pets in tow ~ when going on a beach vacation check that there is a pet friendly beach where your animals will be allowed to accompany you and carry suitable containers for your animals excretions		Travel Planning can almost take the fun out of your expected family vacation ~ travel planning can become an exhausting experience when preparing for a perfect family vacation ~ I always trust my instinct when preparing for our family trips, so a bit of research on what to expect at out destinatons and then print my travel checklist to have handy when we get there ~ Our Motto : Don't be ruled by it, but be prepared ~ Above all dont forget to enjoy your family vacation getaway and print the Animal Safety Tips as a backup reminder
